Phantom high-speed is now at every professional filmmaker's fingertips with the Miro M-series. The flagship of the Miro lineup is the Phantom Miro LC320S, which offers an entry into high-speed imaging with 1500 fps at 1920x1080 resolution and a touch-screen LCD display. Its compact size, smooth workflow and entry-level pricing make the Miro M-series the most accessible high-speed cameras available today.

Pomfort has put together a new tutorial on how to use their LiveGrade software in conjunction with DaVinci Resolve to create dailies. LiveGrade can be used with hardware like the BlackMagic HD Link Pro to create LUTs live. I outlined how to apply different LUTs in a previous blog, but Pomfort has put together a very simple way to work with ASC-CDL (Color Decision List) files in DaVinci Resolve.

We stopped by the OConnor booth to check out their latest products, including their updated 1030D head. The 1030D has an impressive counterbalance system that gives accurate balance at any point of the tilt range. It will also counterbalance down to zero, which is great when working with lighter-weight camera systems.

Kino Flo introduced a new light at NAB 2012, and, for the first time, it's not a fluorescent. The Celeb 200 is a variable color LED fixture, about the size and output of a Diva 400.

Angenieux has recognized the changing needs in 35mm format glass, introducing several interesting upgraded products. Their workhorse large zooms, the 17-80 and the 24-290, have been transformed into 19.5-94 and 28-340 lenses.

This year at NAB, Panasonic gave us an idea of what they have in store for the future, and their future, like many others, is 4K. The concept 4K VariCam was under glass at the show, but we also got to see it backstage and get some more information about what it may be one day.

Teased at the C300 launch back in November, the Canon EOS-1D C is a 4K (4096x2160) capable HDSLR that can also shoot full HD (1920x1080).

Convergent Design has announced the Gemini RAW Recorder. It features the same characteristics as the Gemini 4:4:4 but with more processing power. The unit can record up to four inbound HD streams at the same time.

Shape has just introduced the BP7000 camera rig. The unit features three milled channels for securing your camera, making it quick and easy to find the balance point of your camera.
