Back in January, Juliet wrote a fairly extensive post explaining the process of getting HFR recording working on your Sony F55 or F5. It's a great feature that many people are excited about, but a common question that pops up is, "Why can't I use LUTs when shooting in the HFR mode?" LUTs can definitely make your life easier when shooting in S-Log, so Alister Chapman has found an interesting workaround over on XDCam-User.

Apple just released Final Cut Pro 10.1.2, which has a host of new features including improved media management tools, Rec709 LUT support for Log footage (Arri, Sony, Canon, and Blackmagic cameras), 3DLUT support for the Arri AMIRA, and support for their new ProRes 4444 XQ codec.

Arri's new AMIRA is designed specifically with documentary, run'n'gun type shooters in mind and this past May, the camera was put to the test by award-winning DP Buddy Squires, ASC.
