There are currently many new cameras hitting the market, often with new lens mount types. It comes as no surprise that everyone is trying to determine the best lenses for their new camera system, while others are trying to utilize lenses they already own with a new camera. We all know that lenses often outlive our cameras, so it only makes sense to get the most out of them.

Recently I had the opportunity to test the brand new IBE Optics PLx1.4, which just started shipping this month, out in the field. I chose to test it alongside the PLx2 in a pure run-n-gun situation in various spots around Chicago.

Some of the most common questions we get from clients are about whether the HDx35 Mark II or HDx2 Mark II optical adapters will work with a particular camera. This enables the use of high-quality, long-range HD zooms with the latest generation of digital cinema cameras. The new Mark II edition has a larger image projection to fully cover the large sensor of the Canon C100/C300/C500 cameras.
