At NAB this year, we were able to get a peek at the new Video Devices PIX-E5. The folks at Video Devices like to say that it's "a monitor that happens to record," which is certainly an understatement.

At NAB 2015 I reported on Sennheiser's AVX system, which includes a lavalier mic, transmitter and receiver. What makes this system unique is the fact that it is able to set its own levels.

Just as we have done for other cameras in the past, we've put together several custom profiles for the C100 Mark II. Because Canon has updated the image processing in the C100 Mark II, the settings needed to match our original scene files on the C100 Mark II are a little different than the ones for the original C100.

RED just unveiled the latest camera body in their digital cinema lineup, the RAVEN. Harnessing a 4K DRAGON sensor in a compact and flexible form, the RAVEN is the smallest option in the RED lineup.

The design of the ARRI ALEXA Mini lends itself to all kinds of rigging scenarios. It may be used in an aerial rig, or underwater housing, where the camera is not easily accessible and a viewfinder is not attached. In these situations, another method of changing the camera settings is required. Every ALEXA Mini has Wi-Fi built into it, and by default it is turned on.
