The SXT is the third generation of ALEXA from ARRI. This blog concentrates on the wireless capabilities of the SXT Plus. The Plus has electronics for wireless lens functions built in, so motors and cables are all you need to build the camera.
ARRI has pre-programed lens information for some of the most popular lenses into the camera. Connecting to the WCU-4 handset is simply a matter of locating the desired lens file in the camera's menus; the data is then sent to the WCU-4. I demonstrate this with both LDS and non-LDS lenses.
