With the expanded functionality, it's now possible to capture 4K, QHD and 1080p60 over HDMI to various codecs, including Apple ProRes 422. The 7Q+ remains unchanged otherwise and still allows you to purchase or rent additional capture options (Raw, multi-stream, etc.) for the various camera configurations you may find yourself needing. Convergent Design will continue to support the Odyssey7Q, and any new features and future firmware updates will apply to the entire Odyssey lineup.
Convergent Design will also be releasing a new 1TB SSD, which can be used with the Odyssey 7, 7Q and 7Q+. This larger capacity drive has a lower GB to dollar ratio than the 512GB drives, which makes it attractive when recording some of the heavier duty codecs and formats. There will also be a owner loyalty program for owners of the Odyssey 7Q, which ensures you won't lose any features if you decide to upgrade to the 7Q+.

Pre-orders for the Odyssey 7Q+ start now, with an expected ship date of December 19th.
