Fujinon 14-35mm Cabrio Compact Cinema Zoom T2.9 - PL Mount

The Fujinon 14-35mm Cabrio Compact Cinema Zoom T2.9 features a detachable servo drive unit, the removal of which converts the lens from an ENG/EFP handheld zoom to a cinema zoom.  The removable servo contains built-in lens motors for focus, iris, and zoom, with a rocker switch controlling the zoom. The Cabrio interfaces with the electronic contacts of newer PL Mount cameras. Compatibility with Preston, Arri, Heden or cMotion systems is made simple via detaching the handgrip for remote operation with any third party controller.  The drive is self-centering, and will auto-calibrate when reattached. Luminous paint improves the visibility of the zoom, focus and iris index marks.  The Macro feature allows for exceptional close focus.

Designed using the latest proprietary optical simulation software, the 14-35mm Cabrio offers exceptional optical performance in the center of the image and in the corners of the frame. The digital servo’s 16-bit encoding assures operators that all lens data output—including the position of the zoom, iris, and focus—is extremely accurate. The 14-35mm Cabrio supports ARRI Lens Data System (LDS) and Cooke /i metadata formats, and can be controlled using cinema industry standard wireless controllers as well as existing Fujinon wired and wireless units.

The 14-35mm Cabrio covers 31.5mm sensor size on a digital cinema style camera. While sensors on standard broadcast cameras are all the same size, sensors on digital cine cameras vary greatly. This new zoom ensures the image captured will cover large sensors for optimal, full-frame resolution. A nine-blade iris part of the design as well, creating the most natural-looking imagery possible.
