Overview

While DaVinci Resolve is a widely accepted tool for color correction or finishing, it has also proven to be an invaluable application for on-set and near set use. With powerful tools for building and applying LUTs, as well as flexible transcoding options, Resolve is an important tool for every cinematographer to understand.

This class will focus on working with log or raw footage within Resolve, with an emphasis on processing footage for dailies and general deliverables. We’ll explore batch processing footage with a one-light look, and focus on using and applying LUTs. You will also learn basic camera matching techniques, as well as transcoding and formats conversion.
