This bundle includes the following items for your RED DSMC2 Camera:

This Wooden Camera Easy Top is designed for your RED WEAPON, RED EPIC-W, RED SCARLET-W, and RED RAVEN cameras. It provides connection points for large accessories and standard ARRI accessory mount points. It is also easy to mount. Simply align it with the pogo pin at the front of your camera and attach via (4) 1/4-20 captured screws.

Two LCD/EVF interfaces are included on the Easy Top. One is located under the front portion of the top plate and one is included via the tethered side attachment. Both convert the LCD/EVF pogo pins to the standard 16-pin LEMO connectors which are found on the right side of the top plate. These LEMOs are specially manufactured to allow users to select the orientation in increments of 45 degrees.

A third interface is located underneath the center of the top plate. It communicates with the start/stop trigger on top of the camera. A board inside the top plate converts the non-standard interface to an ARRI standard 3-pin Fischer connector. Any optional ARRI standard trigger can be used with your RED camera. No power trigger is required.

You can pair the Easy Top with the original WEAPON handle from your camera to include start/stop capabilities. It also interfaces with the optional RED Monitor or standard EVF.

NOTE: Per Wooden Camera, the connectors used in assembly of the Easy Top are not manufactured by LEMO, but are made to the same specifications and are LEMO compatible. 

The Wooden Camera LW 15mm Bracket (Weapon/Epic-W/Scarlet-W/Raven) combines with the Wooden Camera Easy Riser for Weapon/Epic-W/Scarlet-W/Raven (sold separately) to enable use of lightweight 15mm rods at the correct lens height on RED WEAPON, EPIC-W, SCARLET-W, RAVEN, and other DSMC2 cameras.

The Wooden Camera AIR EVF Mount for RED DSMC2 EVF is an ultra-lightweight EVF mount that enables easy positioning of the RED DSMC2 viewfinder (not included). The system travels forward and backward over the lens area on two 15mm rods, and laterally (left and right) on a single 19mm rod. A friction knuckle enables quick tilt adjustment of the EVF without needing to loosen a thumbscrew. The knuckle's thin design allows for both straight and right angle LEMO compatible connectors to be installed into the EVF.

When paired with the Wooden Camera Easy Top (DSMC2), an LCD/EVF Cable (RED, R/R, 24") is an ideal choice, as it provides sufficient length for adequate positioning in most configurations. If using the AIR EVF Mount without the Easy Top, a Male Pogo To Male LEMO Compatible LCD/EVF Cable (24") would be recommended.

A top 15mm lightweight rod mount is required for proper attachment of the AIR EVF Mount, and the Master Top Handle (shown in the example photos) is an excellent option for this. Alternatively, if you already have the NATO Handle Kit (Plus, 100mm) or similar, a Rod Clamp (15mm LW) can be added to the front, which would hold the two 15mm rods. The tool-free design permits quick installation and removal of the EVF, and if further extension is needed for tripod shooting, the AIR EVF Extension Arm (RED DSMC2 EVF) can be installed using the same method.

This Wooden Camera Easy Riser, a riser shim plate, delivers corrected lens height. Combine this Easy Riser with an optional Wooden Camera Bridgeplate (19mm or 15mm Studio), or an optional Wooden Camera LW 15mm Bracket (Weapon), or other optional RED-style bridgeplate to adjust lens height.

The Easy Riser includes (2) captured 3/8"-16 screws and multiple mounting points.

The Wooden Camera D-Box (WEAPON/SCARLET-W/RAVEN) - Gold Mount is completely tool-less for installation and utilizes Wooden Camera's Cable-less interface which attaches directly to the back of the camera body, Base Expander Module, REDVolt Expander Module, and the OffHollywood O-Mods.

The upgrade on this D-Box will include new features. Wooden Camera is in the process of putting Amp limitations on the D-Box which will ensure that the camera receives the required 4-6A for normal operation. During the redesign process, the D-Box will be unavailable for order. An upgrade to units previously purchased and currently in use will be available at no charge upon completion of the redesign. If customers choose to continue using the D-Box in its current form, it is important to know what amount of power your batteries are capable of providing.

A RED Brick battery can supply up to 10A with the camera generally consuming 4-6A in its standard configuration. Although the remaining power is available from the D-Taps, LEMO compatible connectors, Fischers, etc., it is best to limit the power draw from these additional outputs to 4A or less for best results. Consuming more power than a battery is capable of providing will cause the battery to shut itself off, and possibly damaging the camera and power accessory. Additionally, a camera shut-down can produce data loss.

Connectors on the D-Box are contoured to match the Expander Modules' which allow for all cables to be installed with no collisions. The module communicates with the camera and allows any ARRI standard start/stop trigger to be used with the 3pin Fischer port. The DC input on the D-Box is the same as the camera's LEMO allowing for an AC Power Supply or External Power Plate to be connected to power accessories and camera during a battery change. When both battery and DC input are utilized, the D-Box defaults to the DC input, leaving the battery fully charged.

An authentic Anton Bauer Gold Mount plate provides 2x D-Tap (unregulated) on the power plate itself but we should note that one D-Tap is obscured by the right side power outputs. Inside the D-Box is a 10A fuse and replacement fuses are included.

NOTE: When using Cable-less and D-Box battery modules it is important to know what amount of power your batteries are capable of providing. The Wooden Camera Trigger Handle for RED WEAPON / SCARLET-W / RAVEN attaches (without tools) directly to the top of the camera brain or to the Easy Top for WEAPON/EPIC-W/SCARLET-W/RAVEN to trigger the camera through the pogo interface. Features arrays of 1/4"-20 female threads in RED spacing, 3/8"-16 female threads for large accessories, and ARRI standard accessory mounts in several places. Attaches to top of camera via (2) 1/4"-20 captured thumbscrews (included). Additionally, Rod Clamps (sold separately) can be attached to the front for a pass-through top rod system.

IMPORTANT NOTE: There is not enough clearance on the top of the camera body to accommodate both the Tool-less LCD/EVF Adapter and the Trigger Handle in place at the same time. Wooden Camera is currently investigating alternate methods to achieve compatibility between these two products.

The Lightweight 15mm Rod Clamp from Wooden Camera provides 1/4-20 mounting points on existing 15mm rods. It can be turned over and bolted to cheeseplates, cages, battery plates, and more.
