Panasonic’s latest firmware for the EVA1 adds some highly anticipated features to the already capable camera. At the top of the list are Intra-frame, or All-I, recording codecs for higher bitrate video capture and RAW data output over the camera’s SDI out at 4K and the sensor's native 5.7K resolution.
Note: For the new 400 Mbps All-I codec, an SDXC card with a Video Speed Class rating of V60 or higher is required. It's possible that future formats could require an even higher spec. card, which is why Panasonic has imprinted the camera's media bay door with the V90 rating logo and is producing cards with that rating. For now though, V60 will enable recording of all current internal formats.
You can find the full list of new features on Panasonic's Firmware Update Data page and you can download the firmware for your camera on the EVA1 Software Updates page.
