Using reflective surfaces to bounce light into scenes, for a variety of uses, has been around as long as filmmaking itself. What the Light Bridge C-Reflectors do is allow you to use reflected light as a primary light source in a scene, as well as for fill, scratch and other motivated sources. The reflectors come in four different levels of hardness, allowing you to not only bounce light but also to shape and modify its quality. The hardest surface, already quite a bit softer than a mirror surface, achieves 97% transmission of the reflected source. Each higher level diffuses the light further, giving a very broad, even spread, great feathering characteristics, and soft, elegant shadows.
It’s a little hard to describe in words, so check out the video above, which shows a very cool diorama scene of The Light Bridge products in action, as well a tour of available standard sizes (custom sizes are available as well) and kits.
