First up is their new EVO JetPack which has some really cool, intelligent functionality. In addition to providing on-camera power distribution, as we've come to expect, the EVO also contains an internal "puffer" battery to allow for hot-swapping of the main brick battery, as well as being able to "boost" the total amperage going to the camera system/accessories. The battery is removeable and replaceable and can be charged in the Jetpack itself or separately.
Core's popular Hypercore batteries have been able to communicate with mobile devices for awhile now but their latest versions also include RFID chips to allow mobiles devices to communicate via NFC when placed in close proximity to the batteries. New battery "metadata" will read out on the mobile, showing not only the battery's charge percentage, but also a custom owner string, URL, or even a rental house's barcode number (these fields are protected by a password to make sure a rental client can't change them).
Also new are upgrades to Core's Fleet Micro line of multi-position chargers. New VoltBridge bluetooth functionality will now show a grid display of multiple chargers and batteries (up to around 15 chargers and 60 batteries total per mobile device) and allows the user to calibrate and rebalance batteries for optimum performance. You can also initiate a discharge of all batteries to flight safe levels for transport. Existing Fleet chargers can be upgraded with this new functionality for $250 per unit.
