Now in the very late prototyping phase, the CameoGrip provides a flexible, ergonomic, pistol-style handgrip with smart features like a four-way directional thumb joystick, assignable buttons, and of course, a run/stop control. Using the LANC protocol, as well as Sony's Multiterminal Interface, the CameoGrip allows for iris and zoom control. Depending on the camera system it's paired with, other features unique to each camera's control mapping are also available. For example, if you have an assignable button mapped to focus magnification on a camera, it can automatically carry over to the CameoGrip.
The latest design updates we've made to the unit now allow the grip to be mounted on tripod extension arms, on rods, on the bottom of a small camera, or basically anywhere there's a standard ARRI rosette mount. Check out the video for more details and to see the CameoGrip in action.
