Canon Announces 35mm Cinema Prime Lens

Today Canon announced a 35mm CN-E cine-style prime lens to complement its complete line of optics for cine production. The 35mm fills the current gap between the 24mm and 50mm focal lengths.

While the T-stop was not indicated, this lens is expected to share the geared manual ring design, 114mm front and 11-blade iris of the other CN-E primes. The complete line of Canon Cinema Primes includes the 14mm T3.1, 24mm T1.5, 50mm T1.3, 85mm T1.3, and 135mm T2.2.
