The Tiffen Pearlescent 1 Filter - 4x5.65 softens sharpness and contrast, while adding a pearlescent halation (halo effect) around highlights. This helps to reduce blemishes or undesired variations in skin tone without affecting the sharpness of the eye. Pearlescent filters aid cinematographers in taking the "edge" off of images captured by modern lenses and cameras, especially with 4K acquisition sensors.
NOTE: The halation (halo) effect is more apparent on lighter skin tones, however the end result on both light and dark skin tones is a pleasing, beautiful skin complexion.
