Join AbelCine and Sigma for a special evening event on Wednesday, September 27: Sigma Lens Night at AbelCine NY.
This dynamic event will be devoted to Sigma's full lineup of cine lenses, including the High Speed Zooms and High Speed Primes. A number of educational areas will be set up throughout our NY showroom and Learning Point. Special guest DPs will discuss their experiences working with the lenses and screen footage in the training room. There will also be a live set on the showroom floor where attendees will be encouraged to go hands-on with the lenses and try them out on various camera bodies. Additionally, there will be a dedicated lens chart area, where various technical and focus charts will be displayed for evaluation with the lenses.

Timur Civan is New York City born and raised. From his background in the fine arts, becoming a Director of Photography was a natural progression. After much experimentation with moving images in his brief professional art career, he developed the desire to paint an image with light to tell a story. His techniques in cinematography are at the forefront of creative imaging, bolstered by his exploration in optics, new and classic, innovative lighting styles and a deep understanding of the latest in industry technologies.
