Overview
As we are on the path of achieving photo-realistic results inside game engines, a great amount of research is being done to improve our ability to create images of higher fidelity and an effect of photorealism in VR.
Coming to VR from the colorist & color scientist perspective, Dado Valentic was faced with the task of overcoming the technical limitations of current VR and injecting a sense of realism into it. Using his experience as a researcher in the area of perception and optical illusion, Dado has developed a new approach of working in VR.
In this presentation, we are going to look at tools and techniques that are available to VR artists today and how to achieve a higher level of perceptual photorealism.
We are also going to look at the future, what tools will be available in the immediate future and what is theoretically needed for a gaming engine to achieve photorealistic quality.
This event will highlight content from AcuteArt, including work from Marina Abramovic, Jeff Koons, and Olafur Eliasson.
