Overview
Finding the right camera for your production can be a daunting task, because there are many factors to consider and many options available. We hope to give you the skills to be able to compare the different options available and select the right camera for your production needs. We will focus on the many different camera formats available today and their respective workflows. Topics for comparing cameras include sensor size, resolution, form factor, lens choices, recording media & compression, workflows, and price. With these factors in mind, we will break down several different shooting scenarios and compare camera capabilities and performance.
We will cover future proofing your work. Technology is changing very quickly, and it might not be long before HD is no longer the consumer standard. Cameras that we compare include DSLRS, camcorders, and digital cinema cameras.
