Litepanels 1x1 Honeycomb Grid - Choose Your Style

Honeycomb grids are light modifiers which change the amount (intensity) and size or shape of beam produced by a light. The lower the degree, the narrower the field of light, the higher the degree designated, the broader or wider the beam spread. Grids also reduce or cut off excess light while they direct the beam of light.

Choose the style of your Litepanels 1x1 Honeycomb Grid. You can select from 30°, 45°, or 60°. The 30-degree Grid offers the narrowest beam of light.

Because the beam of a light using a honeycomb grid can be narrowed, it almost appears like a round spot or circle with soft edges. If the edges appear too sharp you can soften them by adding a diffusion gel or filter. Note that this technique will also slightly widen the light field. Shift the position of the light near a backdrop or a wall in an interior setting and you can create a more oval effect or imitate soft architectural downlights. Of course, you can also bounce this light off other materials to create additional effects.

Slide the Honeycomb Grid inside the Litepanels 1x1 accessory rail system. The grids feature a slim profile of only 3/4" deep.
