The ZEISS Loxia lens family features a reworked optical design that has been specially developed for the high-resolution, full-frame sensors of the mirrorless Sony α series. This means that Loxia lenses can make the most of the mirrorless, full frame system, while giving you all the creative possibilities of "classic" photography, with manual focus at the same time.
Despite their compact form factor, each Loxia prime offers outstanding image performance across the entire image field of a full-frame sensor. ZEISS Loxia lenses also provide everything you need to shoot high quality video, such as the unique DeClick feature for smooth adjustment of the aperture.
DeClick Feature
Each Loxia lens features the DeClick option where you can declick the aperture’s locking mechanism using a supplied tool and an adjustment screw on the bayonet surface. For video applications, you can now eliminate unwanted differences in brightness as you pan the camera.
Manual Focus
An ergonomic design ensures that your manipulation of each Loxia lens will produce a controlled result. These lenses include a large rotation angle to enable precise focusing. Your focus changes will be reflected inside the viewfinder. With a precise engraving in both meters and feet, the depth of focus scale provides added support to your manual focusing.
Virtually Distortion-Free Optics
ZEISS compensates for distortion through the Loxia’s optical design. New composition possibilities open up for strategic perspectives and angles. The design avoids the common distortion of straight lines not within the image center so you won't obtain a curved shape.
Full-Metal Casing
Each lens features a precision-engineered, full-metal casing with a grippy focus and aperture rings (also made of metal). A special sealing ring on the bayonet protects the interface between the camera and the lens. The Loxia lenses were designed for durability to support decades of hard use.
The ZEISS Lens Gear - Mini enables use of mechanical follow focus devices on ZEISS lenses with 62-69mm diameter. Each gear is supplied with a rubber covered band called the "GumGum", which features an adhesive surface. With this band the inner diameter can be reduced according to the lens diameter, thus supporting multiple lenses from 60-67mm. The GumGum also protects against scratches and other damage to the focus ring of the lens.

The ZEISS De-Click Key Set is used to change between clicked and de-clicked aperture ring configurations on Loxia and Milvus series lenses. These tools enable switching between traditional click-stops that are intended for still photo applications, and a click-free design that is more beneficial for video applications. Key adjusts clicks via a set screw on the bayonet surface of each lens. This set includes (5) keys to accommodate various lens sizes.
This ZEISS Loxia Transport Case / Bag is a water and dust-proof hard case with a removable interior bag that secures your Loxia lenses and accessories during storage or travel. The case is constructd from polypropylene and is both impact and corrosion resistant. It features latches for positive, tactile closure of the case.
A convenient, 100% polyster interior bag with zippers can be removed to use separately. Case includes both a shoulder strap and a top handle for convenience. The interior space features a foam inlay to hold up to (5) Loxia lenses, and soft, padded dividers to organize your equipment.
