Overview
The Sigma 17-70mm f/2.8-4 Contemporary DC Macro OS HSM Zoom - EF Mount lens is designed to be the ideal all-purpose lens for DSLR cameras with APS-C sensors. Featuring a versatile focal length and macro capability, the 17-70mm f/2.8-4 is also equipped with a Hyper Sonic Motor (HSM) and an Optical Stabilizer (OS) for superior image quality. The HSM ensures quiet, accurate, and fast autofocusing while the OS compensates for camera shake when shooting handheld.
The design of the 17-70mm includes state-of-the-art TSC (Thermally Stable Composite) material, which provides durable construction and a 30% reduction in size, compared to conventional models. Two FLD glass elements (with performance equivalent to fluorite) are incorporated, along with one SLD element to reduce color aberration. Lens hood and lens caps are included.
USB Dock Compatibility
The 17-70mm F2.8-4 Macro DC HSM OS is compatible with the Sigma USB dock for an increased level of customization, including firmware updates as well as focus parameter adjustment changes via special software (SIGMA Optimization Pro).
