Overview
The ARRI SMC-1 Single Motor Controller is a compact, single-channel (1-axis) motor controller designed for weight and size-critical setups such as Steadicam or aerial drones. It drives a single CLM motor (not included) and is the perfect counterpart for the SXU-1 Single-Axis Hand Unit (sold separately). The SMC-1 is also compatible with the WCU-4, Master Grips and pan-bar zoom (cmotion), sold separately.
Software Update:
ARRI has released Software Update Package (SUP) 1.71 for the Single Motor Controller SMC-1. This SUP adds the following new features and changes:
- The SMC-1 now offers 14 (0-13) instead of 8 radio channels to choose from (these additional channels are currently supported by the Wireless Compact Unit WCU-4 handset)
- CLM-type motors are now operating faster and more responsively when used with the Single Motor Controller SMC-1
