Lindsey Optics 4.5” Round Brilliant Drop-In Close-Up Diopter +1

The Lindsey Optics 4.5” Round Brilliant Drop-In Close-Up Diopters can be used to increase the magnification of a lens, such as when you need to get extreme close-up images of small objects. While not a true macro lens, they are lightweight and easy to use with standard cine matteboxes and filter holders. Lindsey Optics Brilliant Diopters are simple plano convex magnifying lenses manufactured to the highest standards and are specifically designed for cinematography. They are compatible with a variety of 4.5" clamping adapters (sold separately) for direct attachment to cine lens barrels. 

Each close-up lens has a focal length expressed in millimeters. However, for convenience, the focal length is expressed in "diopter strength", which is simply the reciprocal of the focal length in meters. This dramatically reduces light loss and flare. Contrast, color saturation. and image quality are preserved.
