Overview
The Sony 85mm G Master Series Prime f/1.4 combines high resolution and a creamy bokeh. This mid-range telephoto prime offers a bright F1.4 maximum aperture. The 11-blade aperture creates defocus/bokeh effects while the Nano AR Coating eliminates flare and ghosting. An XA (extreme aspherical) element with 0.01 micron surface precision contributes to high resolution and bokeh.
Three ED glass elements support this lens’ resolving power by suppressing chromatic aberration and minimizing artificial coloration throughout its aperture range. Two position sensors enhance the accuracy of an SSM (Super Sonic wave Motor) drive system for autofocus performance which supports the lens' high resolution capabilities. The dust and moisture-resistant design also features a focus hold button, focus mode switch, and a zoom lock switch. The E Mount is compatible with Full Frame and APS-C cameras.
