Wooden Camera ARRI ALEXA LF 24V Sharkfin Battery Bracket - Gold Mount

The Wooden Camera ARRI ALEXA LF 24V Sharkfin Battery Bracket - Gold Mount enables use of (2) standard voltage Anton/Bauer-style Gold Mount (3-stud) batteries to power the ARRI ALEXA LF, which requires stable 24V input. Key features include hot swap capability, (4) D-Tap connectors that remain powered with at least one battery installed, percentage information transmitted to the camera when smart batteries are used, knobs for tool-less installation (with a hidden allen wrench for additional adjustment), and a protective cover plate for use when the bracket is unmounted.

As the ALEXA LF requires high current for normal operation, two batteries capable of 10A sustained draw should be installed at all times. During camera idle, when no lens motors are in use, batteries can be swapped one at a time while the camera and accessories remain powered. It is also possible to hot swap between a block battery and onboard batteries.

Two D-Tap ports are available on each power plate (4 ports, total) in various positions. All D-Tap ports remain powered even when a single battery is installed.

NOTE: D-Tap ports will not function when powering the camera from a block battery only, with no onboard batteries installed.

The Sharkfin module will read Anton/Bauer format battery information, combine the data, and provide a summarized information stream to the camera. This data is displayed in the UI on the side of the camera body, LCD, EVF, etc.

The bracket features (4) M3 thumbscrews and two locating pins for easy attachment directly to the rear of the camera. The included allen wrench can be used to complete installation and is stored neatly on the plate for accessibilty. The included cover plate protects the bracket connectors (pogo pins) during storage, when the bracket is not in use.

IMPORTANT NOTE: Do not attach a battery when the bracket is not installed on the camera, as voltage will run through the pogo pins when a battery is connected, creating an electrical shock hazard. ALEXA LF, batteries, and other accessories sold separately.
