Wooden Camera Battery Slide

With the Wooden Camera Battery Slide you can adjust where and how you will mount your battery plate (V-Mount, 3-Stud Gold Mount, and RED/Blueshape style). This handy slide includes rows of 1/4-20 threaded and pass-through holes to position the unit on rod clamps, cheeseplates, or camera bodies with standard threaded connections built-in. Apply firm pressure to tilt the plate up and down or loosen the thumb screw to position as needed. It's ideal for counterbalancing.

When using a rod clamp (Wooden Camera suggests 15mm lightweight, 15mm studio, or 19mm), attach the clamp to the bottom of the Battery Slide. Adjust the thumb screw to tilt the unit into desired position or, because there is enough friction, you can tilt the battery and plate when mounted on the slide without releasing the thumb screw.

This Battery Slide is ideal for shoulder rigs using a rod clamp. Loosen the Battery Slide thumb screw then shift or slide the battery plate and battery down below the rods to lower your center of gravity and counterbalance the camera. This configuration can be used in studio, too.

Use the Wooden Camera Battery Slide with a cheeseplate or place it directly onto the top plate of your camera. When in either position you can tilt the Slide with the battery and battery plate into position so you can still access the camera underneath. Simply set the unit at an approximately 45-degree angle from the camera body. This suits the RED DSMC cameras since the slide position allows for removing or adding a REDMOTE.

What if you switch between a tripod and handheld on a regular basis? This is definitely the battery slide for you. Unless you like making more work for yourself.

NOTE: The Slide comes with the appropriate screws to help you position it where you require. Rod clamps and cage top/sides can be purchased separately.
