The Sony BP-U60T 56Wh 14.4V Battery for XDCAM EX Camcorder - Hirose 4-Pin Output is designed for use with XDCAM handheld camcorders and portable decks. This battery uses a communication line with the PMW-EX1, allowing a precise remaining battery capacity to be displayed on the PMW-EX1's LCD and viewfinder (the battery information display on LCD is available even while the camera power is off, though not on an EVF).
The BP-U60T also has an LED indicator on the battery itself to display the remaining capacity of the battery at the push of a button, and features a 2A, 4-pin Hirose output port.
IMPORTANT NOTE: This battery is not compatible with DVCAM/HDV handy camcorders, which require a 7.2V power source.
