Overview
The OConnor Ultimate 2560 Fluid Head offers a full, studio-style kit with a +/- 90-degree tilt. The package includes the OConnor 2560 Fluid Head, a Euro quick-release plate, a pan handle with a pan handle extension, a Mitchell base with tiedowns, plus a 150mm ball base with tiedowns. The Fluid Head weighs only 22.9 lb.
OConnor calls the 2560 Fluid Head the baby brother of the 2575, due to its portable nature and ability to configure for the heavy load of studio cameras and lenses, such as the Alexa in portable configuration or any lightweight digital cinema camera (from Sony, Canon, ARRI, AJA, JVC, Panasonic, Vision Research, RED) in ‘maxed out’ studio configuration.
The unit features a stepless pan/tilt drag and sinusoidal counterbalance. The cine standard controls are located on the operator side. A one-touch release catch on the platform allows for finger or hand action to quickly undo the safety catch and open the lever. The platform also features 4 handle rosettes.
