The AGITO is the world's first modular remote dolly. It features multiple configurations, allowing smooth motion from slow, precise dolly movement to high-speed tracked operation, all within one highly portable solution. Motion Impossible worked for years on finding the best ways to move the camera and stabilize it, and they have now partnered with AbelCine to provide sales, training, and technical support across North America.
The AGITO is designed to work with a range of remote stabilized heads and gimbal stabilizers. AGITO has been initially used on broadcast sports and events, but now with an increased need for remote productions, AGITO provides a sophisticated tool for camera movement while maintaining social distance on set.
Recently Jon Fauer, of The Film & Digital Times, interviewed Andy Nancollis and Rob Drewett, co-founders of Motion Impossible and the creators of the AGITO, and Pete Abel and Jeff Lee from AbelCine. In a wide-ranging conversation, they discussed the origins of the AGITO, how it fits into existing production techniques, and the ways AGITO enables remote camera movement for safe production.
