All AbelCine locations are open, and we are loosening our restrictions, while continuing to keep an eye on the evolving state of the pandemic. Our in-office team is adhering to the best-practice health and safety guidelines for essential businesses in New York and California. Face coverings are optional but encouraged for everyone in any of our locations.
Most of our departments have returned to normal operations. See below for any specific information relating to the ongoing impact of the pandemic.
Sales
Our offices are open for on-site sales consults, order pickups and other business. However, pre-scheduled appointments are still preferred for sales demos to ensure the necessary equipment is available.
Shipping times may still be longer than usual due to manufacturing delays and supply chain issues. Customer service is our number one priority, and we are working hard to get your order to you ASAP.
Training
We are now offering in-person classes at our New York and Los Angeles locations. In accordance with industry practices, some classes are subject to COVID-19 testing and masking requirements, due to physical proximity of students and instructors. Industry Safe Return to Work Guidelines
The Production Equipment Rental Group (PERG) has collaborated with industry leaders to put together a safe return to work guideline document, with precautions for preventing the transmission of COVID-19 for camera and lighting rental operations, sound stages, and production vehicles and trucks used by rental companies. The Alliance of Motion Picture and Television Producers (AMPTP) has put together health and safety guidelines for motion picture, television, and streaming productions during the COVID-19 Pandemic. These were developed by their Industry Wide Labor Management Safety Committee Task Force in collaboration with various unions to address the circumstances under which production can safely resume. For the latest information on the coronavirus (COVID-19), please visit the World Health Organization (WHO) website. Regularly updated information on COVID-19 and vaccinations is also available on the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) site.
As you go about your daily activities, we recommend following these simple preventative measures to avoid getting sick or spreading the virus:
- Limit close contact with others as much as possible (about 6 feet)
- Avoid touching your face, specifically your mouth, nose and eyes
- Wash your hands often with soap and water for at least 20 seconds. If soap and water are not readily available, use an alcohol-based hand sanitizer with at least 60% alcohol
- Stay home as much as possible, especially if you are feeling unwell, regardless of the symptoms
- Practice coughing and sneezing hygiene - always cover your mouth and nose when sneezing. Cover your cough or sneeze with a tissue, then throw the tissue in the trash. If a tissue is not readily available, you should cough or sneeze into your elbow, or shoulder, and NOT into your hands
Digital Vaccination Records
Some states are issuing digital vaccination records, in addition to the paper card you received. These allow you to conveniently store and display your vaccination status on your phone.
