Panasonic has released firmware v2.1 for their GH5 mirrorless camera, which enhances existing features and adds some new ones. In this blog, I go through the list of improvements and take a look at 6K anamorphic.
The GH5 has been able to shoot 4K anamorphic for a while at 4:2:2 and 10-bit. Now, it can also shoot in 10-bit 4:2:0 in 6K anamorphic. I was excited to try this out, so I headed out with an anamorphic lens and then brought the file into Resolve to check out the results. I was pretty impressed with what I saw.
