C-model SkyPanels have adjustable color temperatures - from 2,800K - 10,000K. In addition, the units have what ARRI describes as Vibrant Color Selection. This means that color hue and saturation can be adjusted. The light can also be programmed to display the color quality of both Lee and Rosco color gels.
ARRI also makes the RP model of SkyPanel - RP stands for Remote Phosphor panel. The color temperature of the unit is determined by installing the respective panel for the color temperature. The RP versions are 10% brighter, and the 120 models have a lighting panel size of 50" x 11". The length of the 60 model is half of the 120, and the 30 model is half of the 60. Power consumption of the units is 400 W, which is good news when shooting in locations using household power. ARRI states that output is brighter than a 1K tungsten instrument and more than a 3kW space light. Watch my blog to see my friend Rob and I put the SkyPanel through its paces in different lighting situations.
