The ARRI ERM-2400 LCS is an external radio module system that provides point-to-point connection between handsets and cameras, making it a valuable tool for distanced camera crews.
In this time of social distancing, camera crews need to observe the same considerations on set. To this end, the ARRI ERM (External Radio Module) system provides point-to-point wireless connectivity up to an average of 3,000 feet. In this blog, I demonstrate a basic set up with the goal of pulling focus and controlling the camera from a WCU-4. In this scenario, as the AC, I could be located down a hallway, around a corner or even across the street in order to stay safely distanced from talent. Watch my video to see how the ERM-2400 LCS lets me achieve camera and lens control from a safe distance.
