Several optional licenses are available for the Sony VENICE that enable additional functionality, such as full frame and anamorphic recording, and high frame rates. Installing a license is a multi-step process, as demonstrated by our tech, Juliet McNally.
In order to install the latest licenses, your VENICE needs to be running at least firmware version 4.0 (the current version as of this writing). Updating a VENICE to version 4.0 is both a hardware and software process, which can be performed by our Service team.
Please note that the Sony Upgrade and License Management Suite (ULMS) only permits purchases of temporary 7- or 30-day licenses for the Sony VENICE, and the permanent license CBKZ-3610H is only available through authorized dealers.
