Newsshooter's Matt Allard speaks with Michael Gailing, Director of Marketing at Teradek, about their new Bolt products, the high-end XT line and the more affordable LT line. Both of the new systems are compatible with one another, as well as backwards-compatible with the previous generation Bolt 500, 1000 and 3000 models.
New features in the XT/LT models include more flexible mounting options, an integrated NATO rail, and available pass-through battery plates (for Canon LP-E6 or Sony L batteries as well as Gold-mount and V-mount). As with the previous models, each are available in 500’, 1000’, and 3000’ ranges.
Also new from Teradek is a tightly integrated zero-delay wireless video and recording system for Sony’s new VENICE full format cinema camera, which plugs directly into the 144-pin bus connector on the rear of the camera.
