John Hancock needed a broadcast quality studio for recording internal corporate videos and audio podcasts. After AbelCine’s Integration team submitted their initial proposal, they were tapped to engineer and install the multiple studios and control room for John Hancock’s in-house production team. The studio space consisted of a lighting grid with full RGB lights that could be controlled by an ETC ColorSource lighting console. Three Canon C300’s were chosen as the studio cameras, which would double as on location interview kits. The control room houses a NewTek TriCaster TC1 for video switching, recording and live streaming. The AbelCine Integration team also designed the video signal routing workflow, which allows John Hancock to route the program feed from the TriCaster into any of the four editing suites and green room areas.
