The Zeiss Super16 Super Speed Lenses share all the characteristics of the Super35 Super Speed Lenses but are optimized for the Super16 film format.
Zeiss Super Speeds size, speed, and image quality make them stand out amongst all lenses. Opening up to a T1.3 and averaging under 3" in length, you will not find a more compact lens design. This was accomplished by Zeiss's T* Element Coating and integration of aspherical elements into optical design. While these lenses were considered incredibly sharp when they first entered the market, they still have a vintage feel compared to modern lens design. With beautiful flares and pleasing bokeh, with reasonably high contrast, the Zeiss Super Speeds the perfect balance of modern and vintage looks.
