Overview
Introduced in the 1960's, the ZEISS Standard Speed Lenses offer you a set of lenses with a lot of vintage characteristics. They are known for their slightly cool color rendition, beautiful flares, and unique bokeh. While not being overly contrasty compared to modern lenses, these lenses are sharp enough to resolve well on modern digital sensors, but soft enough to polish down some of the harsh edges. Most lenses in the set open to T2.1, which is fast enough for modern cinema cameras. With a compact and lightweight housing, these lenses are perfect for Steadicam or gimbal work.
Our set of ZEISS Standard Speed lenses are the Mark II variety. Produced slightly later than the Mark I versions, the Mark II has some distinct advantages. All lenses have a hard mounted PL mount installed. The lenses focus scales are pitched for modern follow focuses. Some of the Mark II lenses were redesigned to cover the Super35 format, allowing them to work on modern Super35 sensors.
