Overview
The Fujinon Premista Zoom Lenses bring the quality of Fujinon Premier Lenses to a full frame format. The name Premista comes from a combination of Fujinon’s highly-regarded Premier-branded lenses and VistaVision, the name for the full format cinema aperture created by Paramount in the 1950's. The Premista's optical performance rivals that of many prime lenses, with a fast, constant T2.91 maximum aperture. It is ideal for use on crane or helicopter rigs where access to the lens is difficult or impossible.
A new 13-blade iris yields a pleasant bokeh effect, and a wide dynamic range of light can be captured thanks to an optical design that suppresses unwanted flare and ghosting. Thanks to its large-diameter aspherical lens elements and new focus/zoom system, the Premista series achieves exceptional optical quality from center to corners at all focal lengths.
The Premista Zoom Lenses support the Cooke /i metadata protocol as well as the new XD extended metadata protocol from ZEISS.
