Overview
Bausch & Lomb Super Baltar Lenses were introduced over sixty years ago and became a hit with cinematographers. During their heyday in the 1960s and 70s, Super Baltar lenses were used in many of Hollywood's biggest films (Godfather, Godfather II, The Birds). Sporting a vintage cinematic look, these lenses have a general warmth, low contrast, and unique blue-green flares which play off of skin tones nicely. Super Baltars are soft enough to polish down the harsh edges of modern cinema sensors, without being too soft to resolve focus.
