Overview
Angenieux Optimo Zoom Lenses have been the workhorse cinema zoom lenses for the last two decades. Starting with the Optimo 24-290mm, Angenieux set the standard of what a cinema zoom requires for the film industry. Over the following 20 years, Angenieux has only expanded their line up of Optimo Zooms.
Angenieux Optimo Zoom Lenses are known for the highest quality optical design. Their optical performance rivals that of many prime lenses. They beautifully render skin tones, and have that sharp, but not too sharp quality of focus. They accomplish this with a good balance between contrast and resolution. The lenses have low distortion, no ramping, and minimal breathing.
