The OConnor 1030DS Fluid Head & 30L Tripod System - 100mm Ball is a complete package for cinematographers working with camera and lens setups weighing up to 41 lb (18.6 kg). Combining the ultimate control and stability of the 1030DS fluid head with the strong but lightweight carbon fiber 30L tripod, this system is sturdy yet portable with all features required for cine applications. A soft carrying case tailored for the head and tripod package makes it easy to protect the equipment during transport and provides a safe and easy way to carry it around locations.

The OConnor 1030DS Fluid Head offers a wealth of features that have been borrowed from the larger OConnor 2575 and 2065 heads, enabling cinematographers to seamlessly transition from heavier to lighter payload camera setups. 

This head features stepless, ultra-smooth pan and tilt fluid drag that is specifically enhanced to provide ultimate control and stability, as well as the patented OConnor Sinusoidal Counterbalance system, providing true, accurate balance at any point in the tilt range.  Users will appreciate that the system counterbalances down to zero, a handy advantage considering the trend toward lighter weight cameras.

The new ergonomic crank-style counterbalance control simply pulls out of the rear of the head. The Action Brakes for pan and tilt unlock through a single-handed squeeze, and the new sideload platform enables rapid attachment of the camera as well as an extended range of movement for balancing front-heavy setups. For today's versatile shooter, the transition from larger to smaller payloads has never been easier. And, most importantly, the familiar OConnor "feel" remains the same, regardless of payload.

The OConnor 1030DS supports heavier payloads up to 41 lb (18.6 kg) at 6” (15cm) center-of-gravity, with a +/- 60° tilt range.

Like the rest of the OConnor Ultimate heads, the 1030DS has interchangeable bases (e.g. 150mm or Mitchell), accepts the same front box mount as larger heads, and offers full compatibility with other OConnor 1030 accessories. This package features a 100mm Ball base.

NOTE: OConnor's 30L carbon fiber tripod system (included) offers an expanded payload range in a lighter weight package which makes it the perfect companion for the 1030DS.

At just 8.8 lb (4 kg) the OConnor 30L 2-Stage Carbon Fiber Tripod features a double extension design, which ensures it can safely carry payloads of up to 209 lb (95 kg), even at its maximum height of 63.4" (161cm). The 30L is both versatile and stable, and despite its generous height range it collapses to a mere 29.5” (75cm) overall length for convenient storage and transport. A smart quick-clamping system offers secure and visible tripod lockdown. The system's integral mid-level (off-ground) spreader system offers easy, trouble-free operation. Removable rubber feet expose spikes for optimal traction and payload safety on a variety of surfaces.
