Join us for Technical and Creative Aspects of a Lens, live from the comfort of your home, on the road, or anywhere. In this interactive session, you will see the instructor and be able to ask questions.
This class takes place on the Zoom video conference platform, which is free to join and easy to use. Instructions will be sent to you before the class begins. Once the class starts, you will see the instructor, the gear being used, and the instructor's presentation. You will be able to ask questions via a live, moderated chat. After the class ends, you will also receive a copy of the instructor's PowerPoint or Keynote presentation, and a recording of the class.
This class is designed to get you up to speed on all these things lenses, whether you are a beginner, intermediate, or experienced filmmaker. We will cover the technical and emotional story elements that need to be considered when choosing a lens, including focal lengths, depth of field, primes vs. zooms and Super 35mm format compared to Full Format lenses.
Whether you are a screenwriter, director, actor, or cinematographer looking to brush up on lens technology, you will leave with a better understanding of lens technology and the emotional power of a lens.
