Join us for Prepping and Evaluating a Lens, live from the comfort of your home, on the road, or anywhere. In this interactive session, you will see the instructor and be able to ask questions.
This class takes place on the Zoom video conference platform, which is free to join and easy to use. Instructions will be sent to you before the class begins. Once the class starts, you will see the instructor, the gear being used, and the instructor's presentation. You will be able to ask questions via a live, moderated chat. After the class ends, you will also receive a copy of the instructor's PowerPoint or Keynote presentation, and a recording of the class.
In this workshop, you will learn the fundamentals of prepping, evaluating, and maintaining lenses, from issues to look out for, cleaning techniques, and troubleshooting. We'll look at mechanical and optical issues, as well as zoom-specific issues you may encounter. For lens maintenance, we'll look at the pros and cons of various tools and techniques, and what to use in a controlled environment vs in the field. This class will look into what you should carry as part of your kit for lenses, as well as proper storage and environmental concerns.
