Join AbelCine, Aurora Films, and RED for a special Happy Hour event in Pennsylvania!
On Thursday, May 9 we'll be holding a Happy Hour on the Road all about the RED DSMC2 lineup of cameras at the Aurora Films Soundstage. At this event, we'll be highlighting both the technical and creative applications of the DSMC2 cameras, as well as accessory and workflow solutions. Special guest DP Martin Whittier (CharmCine Rentals) will discuss his experiences shooting on RED cameras, and there will be lots of hands-on time for guests to play with the cameras (MONSTRO, HELIUM, GEMINI) and DIT setups.

Martin Whittier
After graduating from film school in 2004, Martin Whittier cut his teeth shooting for the Department of Defense at Aberdeen Proving Ground. This position introduced Martin to the world of high-speed cinematography and production shooting for high level government clients, test project, and the creation of mission critical support films.
After eight years Martin transitioned into the freelance world as a Steadicam operator and Director of Photography where he has continued to work since on a number of feature films, commercials, television shows, and documentaries. Some notable clients have included Under Armour, New Holland Agriculture, Audi of America, The History Channel, Discovery, and numerous independent agencies and film makers.
In 2015 Martin launched CharmCine Rentals, a Baltimore based camera rental house. In 2018 Martin launched a second Alexandria, VA location called Capital Camera and currently these two shops serve as the premiere facilities in the DMV area.
Martin continues to take on new projects where he can stretch his creative muscles in new ways while always striving to tell a great story.
