Cinematographer Michael Ognisanti will discuss his use of the Sony VENICE on the series Work in Progress and give a behind the scenes look at what it was like to work on the series from pilot to when it was picked up by Showtime. The discussion will be hosted by Technology and Education Development Manager Megan Donnelly with time for Q&A throughout.
Michael Ognisanti was born in Saginaw, Michigan and studied film theory at Michigan State University but most of his education came from making bizarre short films with his friends.
He began his career shooting commercials in Chicago where he worked as a Motion Control operator and a Phantom hi-speed tech. He has shot for such brands as McDonalds, Bud Light, Coors, Kraft, Peapod and Kellogs. His work in documentaries include the 2017 award-winning feature Zero Weeks. In 2018, Michael shot the pilot for Work in Progress. The comedy series was accepted to the Sundance Indie-Episodic program where it was acquired by Showtime. Michael shot the full 8 episode season.
