This Week's Technology Focus
ProRes RAW
ProRes RAW combines the flexibility of RAW video with the incredible performance of ProRes. Import, edit and grade pristine video with RAW data straight from your camera sensor without slowing down your edit. These RAW files provide maximum flexibility for adjusting the look of your video, while extending brightness & shadow detail - ideal for HDR workflows.
ProRes RAW preserves the deepest black to the brightest white and every color imaginable from your sensor. No matter whether you love Panasonic, Sony or Canon, connect your Atomos and set your RAW creativity free. Additonally, Final Cut Pro editors can work natively with ProRes RAW and ProRes RAW HQ files created by Atomos recorders.
Atomos SUMO19
The Atomos SUMO19 Monitor/Recorder provides HDR on set, in studio, or for live switching. The SUMO comes complete with mission critical scopes such as waveform, focus peaking, false color, and vectorscope on the calibrated screen. You can also record up to 4Kp60 and 2Kp240 to generate instant dailies and proxies direct to affordable SSD media. The SUMO offers 10 stops of dynamic range, 10-bit processing and X-Rite calibration, plus it will display HDR and accept Log, PQ or HLG signals from your grading software. It also includes a converter and support for Genlock, plus LTC timecode.
Recording on your Atomos in ProRes RAW (available on SUMO19 & SHOGUN INFERNO) supercharges your creativity and speed of production. Simply connect to your camera and every sensor pixel is preserved, instantly viewable, beautifully displayed and ready to edit and grade in Final Cut Pro X.
