ATOMOS Shinobi 5" HDMI HDR Field Monitor

The ATOMOS Shinobi 5" HDMI HDR Field Monitor is a compact onboard monitor with a 5.2" SuperAtom, 1920 x 1080, IPS LCD capacitive touch panel, and support for 4K footage up to 30 fps. The screen features a special anti-reflection coating and fingerprint-resistant technology, in addition to 1000 nits brightness for easy daylight viewing, and 427 PPI (pixels per inch) performance (higher than comparable monitors from other manufacturers). This monitor weighs less than half a pound (196g), and is particularly ideal for use with lightweight DSLRs and mirrorless cameras, offering professional features at an affordable price point designed to fit all budgets. 

Shinobi is very similar in form and function to the ATOMOS Ninja V 5" Monitor/Recorder, lacking only the recording feature, and adding a new Multi Scope View function, new "selfie" Mirror Mode designed specifically for vloggers, and a new multi-tool Analysis View for cinematographers. With Analysis View the user can simultaneously monitor the shot and view a waveform, histogram, and vectorscope, maintaining complete control of the image. You can even switch between different waveform, histogram, and vectorscope options on the fly with a single touch. The monitor also features HDMI 1.4b input support.

Shinobi provides better viewing angles for framing and creative camera operation, and features AtomHDR for Log to HDR processing. The screen displays 10+ stops of dynamic range in realtime from Log/PQ/HLG signals. Combined with ATOMOS' unique HDR monitoring features, the Shinobi simplifies the complexities of shooting Log and HDR, making it easy to replicate post-production workflows on demand.

The AtomOS 10 intuitive touch control system makes operation extremely straightforward, and 3D LUTs are supported for employing custom looks (load up to eight custom LUTs at any time via the SD Card Slot and instantly switch between them). Monitoring tools include Luma Waveform, RGB parade, RGB Overlay, Vectorscope, Vectorscope Zoom, Histogram, RGB Histogram, Analysis View (multi-tool scopes: Waveform, Histogram, Vectorscope), Focus Peaking, Zebra, False Color, Blue Only Exposure, Zoom (1:1, 2:1, 4:1), SMPTE Safe Areas, Cinema Guides, Profile & Preset support (upload .cube files via SD Card), 3D & 1D LUT support, and Anamorphic Desqueeze.

Shinobi also benefits from X-Rite factory color calibration, and can be calibrated using X-Rite's i1DisplayPro (sold separately) for ongoing accurate HDR and Rec709 monitoring.

Top and bottom 1/4"-20 threads take full advantage of the center line battery plate for easy balancing on a support arm, or for attachment of a cage or other adapter type.
