The BB&S Area 48 is available in two powerful configurations: a single phosphor unit (available in soft and studio versions) and a full-color RGBW fixture. The RGBW fixture excels in providing exceptionally accurate color illumination in both white light and red, green, and blue. With a color temperature range from 2500K° to 10,000°K, it delivers a remarkable 13,000 lumens while drawing just 160 watts of power.

BB&S has raised the bar for color accuracy with the Area 48 Color. Following five years of dedicated research, they developed a proprietary color algorithm and procedure to ensure precise color matching. They also use the highest standard R/G/B and bi-color white LEDs (2700°K and 5600°K) that are carefully selected for their quality and consistency. This meticulous approach ensures that the light output is perfect for producing natural skin tones, which are essential for creating artistic images.

The Area 48 Color offers an impressive 13,000 lumens, matching the original Area 48's renowned remote phosphor daylight and tungsten color rendering. It features a unique onboard touchscreen for intuitive control, providing local adjustments for ON/OFF functions, color dimming, and plus/minus green settings. Compact and lightweight, the Area 48 Color measures 36 cm (14") wide, 28 cm (11") high, and 13 cm (5") deep, weighing only 4.6 kg (10 lbs) including the power supply, making it ideal for use on stands or lighting grids.
