Overview
The Sigma 24-35mm f/2 DG HSM Art Zoom - EF Mount is a full frame, wide-angle lens designed for prime performance with the versatility of a zoom, with minimal distortion in its imagery. Part of the Art family, this zoom lens was created from decades of experience manufacturing wide-angle lenses. FLD glass elements, with performance equal to fluorite, provide for exceptional image quality while an updated Hyper Sonic Motor (HSM) uses 1.3 times the torque for quick autofocus (AF) functionality.
A constant F2.0 aperture though the entire zoom range allows for greater ability in low light, compared to previous models, and the use of the largest aspherical element in the industry (and multi-layer coating) controls distortion, ghosting, and flaring. This lens features (7) SLD glass elements that allow for outstanding image quality. A large diameter aspherical lens, a complicated element to manufacture, allows for a stunning level of brightness. This complex optical formula creates outstanding image quality throughout the focal range, and even at the widest apertures. An updated AF algorithm makes for smooth, accurate and fast autofocusing.
This lens includes a total of 18 elements in 13 groups. It offers a minimum focus distance (MOD) of 11" (28cm).
